Take Heed in Your Ministry

Paul instructs Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12 to "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, an in purity". Paul list ways in which we are to be examples to those around us. We as ministers of the faith (if you share the gospel then you are ministering whether you like the title or not) are to be examples in our speech, in righteous living, in self-sacrificing service to others, in our relationships, in our commitment to Christ, and through a pure and genuine character. Good advice that I just recently went over so I wanted to share with everyone. I'm going to marinate on this verse for a while before I attempt to unpack it so enjoy my unusual briefness.

No doubt, I know I could benefit from a good old dose of "check how I'm living". I often forget that my actions need to fall in line with my words as in the phrase "make sure you have both tongues pointing in the right direction".

I'm just replying on this due to the succinct nature of this post. haha, I know Terry is not really into the whole brevity thing and this was a good change.
