GOD.....YOU ARE AMAZING

It's 1:40 in the morning, and i have just finished my 5th fantasy football mock draft on the espn site only minutes ago. While I was "mocking", there was a guy on there that was saying random things that didn't quite make sense to me. So, what do I do? I call him out. I ask him what the heck he's talking about and ask him to explain himself. Long story short, he went on to quote several movies and admit that he was an atheist and some other stuff. So I asked him whether he was an atheist or just an agnostic. He said he wasn't sure but either would do. All throughout this conversation I asked God to arm me and be my voice of reason. As the talk started winding down he revealed how he actually didn't think he was atheistic or agnostic and just was somewhere between believing in God and...not believing in God. I challenged him to keep digging and find out for himself, then I was suddenly booted off the website. This convo lasted about an hour.

I walked away hoping that God would do something in his heart...then it hit me. Then I realized what had really just happened. I have been going through a few week long lull as far as my walk goes. I haven't been diving into the word like I should, I haven't been praying like I should, and I hadn't been talking to God like I should. That whole time i was talking to that person I didn't even know I was calling out to God to armor me and be my voice of reason. That whole time....God and I were interacting. We were a team....we were just like He calls us to be all the time. Thanks God, nice hangin' with ya. I love you. Thanks for bringing me closer, and hopefully that other guy too.

I'm not sure if you read these or not, but I'm going for it anyway!

I appreciate your ministry and your transparency so much!

I'm a lifelong Cardinal fan, and last Sunday (8/14) we got back to Memphis after a quick trip to see the Cardinals play the Rockies on the 13th. I had major surgery on the 15th, so that Saturday was the only day we could see a game.

My husband and I didn't know when we bought the tickets — for our two girls, 19 and 22, and their long-time boyfriends — that it was Christian Night! It was no coincidence and I just want you to know how much all the players' testimonies meant to us, and yours in particular. For these young people (one of whom happens to be an injured jr college pitcher!) to hear someone like you so humble and honest about your faith was spectacular.

Thank you. Hoping you'll be doing some Memphis rehab :-)

Really enjoy your posts Adam. As Cards fans we are lucky to have you wear the Birds on the Bat. And as followers of Christ, we are Blessed to have someone with your platform, be so bold for the sake of Jesus, and be so humble. I have 3 young sons who love the Cardinals, and as their dad, it's a real blessing to be able to point to an athlete as an example of what God wants from His children. That is rare! God Bless you for that!

Also, my wife and I are avid hunters, and BIG fans of Mark & Terry Drury. We really loved watching you on Dream Season Celebrity. Especially liked the Catch-a-Dream part. Was awesome to hear the young man gave his heart to Christ!
God's richest blessing to you as you let adversity make you stronger. James 1:2,3

WOW!!! :) What a great way to whitness!!! I just want to thank you for your ministry! You have such a powerful testimony and I have heard it plenty of times, but I never get tired of it!!! I have been really blessed to see you this year with such a great attitude, even though you have been out for the season, you are still with your teammates when their at Busch, and cheering them on!!! :) I'm a young teenager, and I want want to tell you want a great infulence you have made, that no matter what happens give God the glory!!!! By the way, how did you get the nickname Waino? I know the Wain part, because that's you name, but where did the O come from, and who first started that? OK, that might sound weird, but I was wondering!!! :) Thanks again!!

Adam, I am glad to see that your rehab is going well. I have been following your rehab since surgery. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. I started throwing four weeks ago and I am amazed how fast my arm has healed from tommy jon. I am throwing the ball well from 120 feet now and improve a little every day. I have started catching bullpens again as well and let me tell you, it feels GREAT to be back there again catching my pitchers.

Ever since Tim Elsworth did that article on our surgeries, I have been blessed by being able to use you as a ministry tool with my fellow teammates. It is amazing to see God working on our team. Thank you again for being so encouraging. PROVERBS 27:17, Thank you for being an Iron Man for our GOD!

I'll be at your first rehab start in the spring.

God Bless
