Col 1:28-29 "We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me".
The word perfect is from the Greek word "teleois" meaning mature.
Just some great verses to chew on. The thing that sticks out to me are those few words, "with all his energy". If no other thought stays with me from these verses it would those words. Simple phrase with a huge point tucked in there. Lets not ever lose sight of who is running the show.

I just preached on this text last month—and honestly believe it represents the heart of Christian ministry as succinctly as any text in Scripture...it's ministering with the end in view, and there's a message ("Him"), a method ("teaching"/"admonishing") a motivation (“present everyone perfect in Christ”) & a means (“all His energy”) in view. I find the “struggling with all His energy” really instructive—there’s no good parallel for this. It’s one thing to get the energy to do work from someone/something else, but it’s quite another to say I’m working by the means of Another’s energy. We strain, we stretch, we sweat for the growth/joy of all peoples…all the while, as the instruments in the Redeemer’s hands. There is enough in these two verses alone to chew on for a long time.
